Lesson Plan Logic Version 1
Induction Set
- Introduce the concept of ‘What is Problem Solving?’
o To solve the problem, students need to experience prior knowledge / other experiences to apply in solving problems
o Let students know that solving problem must be systematic.
o Get an overall view of “problem solving”.
Step 2
- Give an example of question involving solving problems.
- By doing the solution, student can see how to relate the previous knowledge with the solving problems.
- On the same time, student can recall the concepts that have learn in Form 4, 3, 2 and 1.
- Encourage student to do deep thinking.
- Two-way discussion happens and enables students to get involve in the learning process.
Step 3
- Initiate them in much more active way in group works.
- In this activity, students learn how to co-operate in groups to solve the given questions.
- When students present their answers, teacher will indirectly evaluate them. This can evaluate the student understanding on solving problems.
Closure
- Teacher summarize what they have learnt by using mind map
- A sample SPM Question is given to them as homework so that to prepare them with SPM Questions and to stimulate what they have learnt in class.
